ResinTech SLT — Polishable Self-Levelling Topping Guide (formerly SLC)
ResinTech SLT (formerly ResinTech SLC) is a professional, polishable self-levelling cementitious topping that doubles as a levelling underlayment — an alternative to brand-name polishable toppings and self-levelling underlayments for commercial, industrial and residential floors. Stocked at Canopus Supply. Local pickup is available in North Vancouver. We deliver across Greater Vancouver and BC, and we ship eligible products across Canada and the USA. For heavy, oversized, special-order, hazardous, or contractor-volume orders, shipping must be confirmed before fulfillment.
ResinTech SLC is now supplied as ResinTech SLT — Self-Levelling Topping in a 50 lb (22.7 kg) bag. Mixing water (4.5–5 L per bag), application thickness (5–40 mm), coverage (≈16.3 sq ft per bag at 10 mm) and shelf life (6 months) changed with the new bag. Use the SLT TDS v2.1 and SDS v2.0 on the product page; the former SLC documents are superseded.
ResinTech SLT is used in the same polishable-topping and floor-levelling applications as Mapei Ultratop PC, and in the same levelling-underlayment applications as SikaLevel-250. A side-by-side table of published figures is on the SLT product page. Canopus Supply also stocks Sika and Mapei floor-preparation products — confirm the right product for your substrate and finish against each manufacturer's current TDS. Mapei® and Ultratop® are trademarks of Mapei S.p.A.; Sika® and SikaLevel® are trademarks of Sika AG; referenced for identification only. Canopus Supply and ResinTech are not affiliated with either company.
What Makes SLT Different
Most self-levellers are underlayments that must be covered by another finish. ResinTech SLT is a finished floor topping: it can be left exposed as a sealed wear surface, or ground and polished like a polishable concrete topping (ResinTech product-use statement — establish the grinding sequence by mock-up) — and it also works as a levelling underlayment beneath epoxy, polyaspartic, tile or vinyl systems. That dual role is the key distinction.

Finished Topping, Polished Floor or Underlayment?
As a finished topping: pour, level and seal with a compatible sealer or clear topcoat for a smooth, seamless wear floor. For heavy industrial or vehicular traffic, apply a full flooring/topcoat system rather than leaving it bare.
As a polished floor: once the topping has gained strength (not before 24 h; confirm by mock-up), grind and polish to the specified gloss and apply a densifier/sealer. ResinTech has not yet published a polishing procedure — treat the mock-up as the specification.
As an underlayment: use it to flatten and prepare a substrate beneath TUE/CBE epoxy, HPP polyaspartic, tile, stone or vinyl. Confirm minimum overcoating times and moisture content against the current TDS.
Pair It With the Right Prep & Finish
Canopus Supply stocks the full floor-prep range to go with SLT — including Sika Level-01 primer, Mapei Planiprep SC and SikaScreed-40 — plus ResinTech epoxy and topcoat systems. Confirm cross-product compatibility against each manufacturer's TDS. Use the ResinTech System Selector to build the full floor assembly.
