ResinTech Core Bond Epoxy (CBE) is a premium 100% solids, two-component Epoxy floor coating designed for industrial and commercial flooring. It provides outstanding UV resistant epoxy, Industrial epoxy, Abrasion resistant epoxy, Commercial epoxy, Chemical resistant epoxy, and Durable epoxy — making it ideal for surfaces exposed to sunlight.

This high-performance epoxy retains its clarity and high gloss even under extended UV exposure, making it perfect for decorative concrete coatings and other applications requiring robust protection and aesthetic enhancement.

Application Guidelines

• Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Abrade the surface if needed to enhance adhesion.
• Mixing Instructions: Combine Part A and Part B at the specified 2:1 ratio by volume in a clean container. Mix thoroughly for 3–5 minutes, ensuring a uniform blend.
• Application: Apply the mixed Epoxy resin with a roller, squeegee, or appropriate spray equipment. Follow the recommended coverage rate for optimal thickness.
• Curing: Allow the coating to cure as specified. Avoid foot traffic until the epoxy has adequately hardened.

Safety and Handling

• Ensure adequate ventilation during application and curing.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and respirator.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention if necessary.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage and Shelf Life

• Store in a cool, dry place at around 25°C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or high humidity.
• Use the product promptly after opening. Seal the container tightly to prevent moisture absorption and contamination.
• Shelf life is ten months when stored at 25°C.

How to Use ResinTech Core Bond Epoxy (CBE)

Surface Preparation

• Grind the concrete surface to expose a clean, sound substrate.
• Vacuum thoroughly to remove all dust and debris.
• A properly prepared surface is critical for adhesion and long-term performance.

Mixing Instructions

• ResinTech Core Bond Epoxy (CBE) is supplied as a 15-liter kit (4 gallons).
• Always pour Part B (hardener) into Part A (resin).
• Mix for 2–3 minutes using a low-speed drill mixer, scraping sides and bottom of the pail.
• For a clear finish, simply mix Part A and Part B.
• For a coloured finish, add the required pigment into Part A first, mix thoroughly, then add Part B.
• Working time is approximately 60 minutes at 20°C.

Application Guidelines

• If the concrete is soft or temperatures are hot, apply a primer coat of 3–5 mils to stop off-gassing and bubbles.
  
• Coverage at this thickness: 1,200–1,500 sq ft per kit.
• If the substrate is stable and temperature is normal, apply a single coat of 15–20 mils.
  
• Coverage at this thickness: 250–350 sq ft per kit.
• Use a squeegee to spread and a roller to back-roll for a smooth, uniform finish.
• Optional: ResinTech Core Bond Epoxy (CBE) can also be used for flake systems and metallic floors. (See our training videos for more info.)

Curing & Recoat Window

• Recoat window: 15–24 hours.
• Stand-alone system: wait 48 hours before putting into service.
