ResinTech Protective Polymer Membrane (PPM): Advanced Waterproofing Protection
ResinTech Protective Polymer Membrane (PPM): Single-Component Waterproofing Membrane
A technical reference for waterproofing contractors, restoration contractors, concrete coating installers and commercial builders specifying ResinTech PPM. Confirm all data against the manufacturer’s current TDS and SDS.
What Is ResinTech PPM?
ResinTech PPM (Protective Polymer Membrane) is a ready-to-use, single-component liquid-applied waterproofing membrane. Once cured it forms a seamless, elastomeric film intended to resist moisture and chemical exposure. Confirm UV/exterior suitability and chemical resistance against the TDS.
Key Features (confirm against the manufacturer’s TDS)
- Single-component, ready-to-use liquid membrane.
- Seamless, elastomeric film that accommodates substrate movement.
- Formulated for resistance to water, chemicals and UV exposure; confirm ratings against the TDS.
Typical Applications
- Parkades and balconies: Protection against water intrusion and abrasion.
- Roof decks and terraces: Seamless waterproofing for commercial and institutional structures. Confirm roofing/exterior suitability against the TDS.
- Pools and water tanks: Where continuous water contact is expected; confirm immersion and potable-water suitability against the TDS.
- Concrete floors and walls: Industrial facilities, warehouses and mechanical rooms.
- Garage floors and driveways: Chemical- and oil-resistant protection.
- Metal and wood substrates: Flexible film for substrates subject to thermal movement. Confirm primer and substrate compatibility.
Application Sequence
- Surface preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free of contaminants.
- Application: Apply by roller, brush or spray for even coverage. Confirm coverage rate and number of coats against the TDS.
- Cure: Cure time is typically 8–12 hours depending on temperature and humidity; confirm against the TDS.
