Surface Preparation
Concrete must be structurally sound, clean, and free of laitance, oil, grease, curing compounds, and form release agents. Surface voids, honeycombs, and bug holes must be filled with a compatible patching mortar. Sharp protrusions must be ground smooth. Apply an approved Tremco primer (such as TREMproof Primer or equivalent) at the specified coverage rate and allow to dry before applying the membrane. Application Instructions
- Substrate preparation: Prepare the concrete as described above. Fill voids and grind protrusions. Apply approved primer and allow to dry.
- Detail work: Apply membrane to all coves, inside and outside corners, pipe penetrations, and construction joints before field application. Embed reinforcing fabric at all details as specified.
- Field application: Apply TREMproof 250GC by spray, roller, or trowel at the specified wet film thickness. Ensure uniform coverage with no holidays or thin spots.
- Inspection: Inspect the cured membrane for pinholes, thin areas, and incomplete coverage. Repair deficiencies before installing protection board.

Limitations
