Sherwin-Williams Eco-HTS™ 100 | High-Tensile Strength Floor Coating

Two-Component High-Tensile Strength Floor Coating for Commercial & Industrial Concrete | Brand: Sherwin-Williams

Sherwin-Williams Eco-HTS™ 100 is a two-component, 100% solids, solvent-free floor coating formulated for demanding commercial and industrial concrete floor applications. Designed for professional installers and facility managers requiring a tough, durable floor coating on properly prepared concrete substrates. Confirm chemistry, suitability, coverage, and system compatibility against the current Sherwin-Williams TDS, SDS, and project specification before use.

Professional note: Eco-HTS™ 100 requires thorough substrate preparation — concrete must be mechanically profiled, clean, dry, and free of laitance, oil, and curing compounds. Moisture testing is essential before application. Confirm suitability for your specific application and substrate against the current TDS before use.

Product Description

Eco-HTS™ 100 is a 100% solids, two-component floor coating that cures to a hard, seamless, high-build surface. Its high-tensile strength formulation is designed to resist cracking, impact, and abrasion under heavy foot and light vehicular traffic; confirm load ratings and traffic suitability against the current TDS. The solvent-free chemistry minimizes VOC emissions during application; confirm ventilation requirements against the SDS.

Once cured, Eco-HTS™ 100 provides a smooth, cleanable surface with resistance to a range of chemicals, oils, and cleaning agents; confirm chemical compatibility against the TDS and project specification before use. It can be used as a standalone floor coating or as a base coat in a multi-layer system incorporating decorative flake, quartz broadcast, or a polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat; confirm system compatibility against the TDS before ordering.

Key Characteristics

  • High tensile strength — formulated to resist cracking, impact, and surface stress; confirm load ratings against the TDS.
  • 100% solids, solvent-free — low VOC; confirm ventilation requirements against the SDS.
  • Seamless, high-build finish — creates a continuous, cleanable floor surface; final appearance depends on substrate condition and application method.
  • Chemical resistance properties — formulated with resistance to common industrial chemicals, oils, and cleaning agents after cure; confirm chemical compatibility against the TDS and project specification.
  • Adhesion to concrete — designed for adhesion to mechanically prepared concrete substrates; final adhesion depends on substrate condition, surface profile (CSP), moisture content, and application method.
  • System versatile — compatible with decorative flake, quartz broadcast, and polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoats; confirm system compatibility against the TDS before ordering.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial and commercial concrete floor coatings
  • Warehouse and manufacturing facility floors
  • Garage and parkade floor base coats
  • Institutional facility floors
  • Base coat for decorative flake or quartz broadcast systems
  • Base coat under polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat systems

Surface Preparation

Concrete must be mechanically profiled (shot-blasted or ground to the CSP specified in the TDS), clean, dry, and free of laitance, oil, grease, curing compounds, and incompatible coatings. Conduct moisture testing before application. Repair cracks and voids with a compatible repair mortar. Confirm primer requirements against the TDS before application.

Application Instructions

  1. Substrate preparation: Mechanically profile and clean the concrete as described above. Confirm moisture levels are within acceptable limits per the TDS.
  2. Mixing: Combine Part A and Part B at the ratio specified in the TDS. Mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer for the full recommended time. Do not thin.
  3. Application: Pour mixed material onto the floor and spread evenly with a notched squeegee. Back-roll immediately with a phenolic-core roller to achieve uniform film build.
  4. Broadcast (if applicable): For flake or quartz systems, broadcast aggregate into the wet coating to refusal. Remove excess after cure.
  5. Topcoat (if applicable): Apply an approved polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat within the recoat window specified in the TDS.

Limitations

  • Not UV stable — requires a UV-stable topcoat for exposed or sunlit areas; confirm against TDS.
  • Do not apply to damp, contaminated, or unsound concrete.
  • Do not apply below minimum temperature or when substrate temperature is within 3°C of the dew point; confirm temperature requirements against the TDS.
  • Not recommended for areas subject to continuous water immersion without system approval.
  • Pot life is temperature-dependent — work in manageable batches in warm conditions.

Health & Safety

Read the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Wear gloves, eye protection, and ensure adequate ventilation during mixing and application. Refer to the SDS for full hazard classification and first-aid measures.
